I've never been free of the hospitality industry. My folks owned a restaurant when I was little and my blood is 50% maple syrup & ketchup. I began my career in Asheville NC in 2008. There were many miss steps but eventually I found a footing working at Chai Pani/MG Road for a number of years. I sought a career behind the bar and landed a gig managing the bar at Rhubarb. While I'm still managing the bar at Rhubarb these days I'm making the steps to begin my own business. Writing seems like a good place to start.
